Responsible to implement and maintain a single consistent management system and safety focused culture across multiple sites. Challenge the existing culture and operational approach to achieve best in class standards in Safety, Environmental and Quality performance across the business unit.

Responsibilities

• Take the lead for setting the strategic framework for the management of Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality standards and helping to maintain, update and improve the company's management systems
• Ensure that all health and safety policies, procedures, rules and regulations are adhered to and are regularly reviewed, updated and communicated
• Implement a consistent management system across multiple sites compliant to the relevant International Standards.
• Ensure compliance with our Environmental Permit
• Review of on site near misses / incidents in order to establish and implement learning and best practices
• Advise the department managers on the company’s Regulations and report incidents on behalf of the site
• Develop and oversee an audit program to include review of procedures and risk assessments
• Undertake audits and inspections of contractors and working practices to ensure a safe working environment
• Act as company SHEQ representative during various operations and project works.
• Establish additional performance metrics to measure and drive improvement / change.
• Coaching and development of SHEQ team to establish a sustainable multi skilled SHEQ team structure
• Keep up to date with all aspects of relevant health, safety and welfare at work legislation and communicate relevant changes and impact on the business
• Be a key member of the management team supporting wider strategy discussions

Requirements:

• Bachelor Degree in Engineering or related associates. MBA and PMP is a plus
• At least 5-7 years of experience in a similar role.
• Strong communication, leadership and interpersonal skills in English & Arabic languages are required.
• Problem solving, root cause analysis, Six Sigma, FMEA, QFD, Business Excellence.
• Experience and knowledge in incident investigation and root causal analysis
• Evidence of practical audit/inspection experience
• Good people manager
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop effective and positive working relationships within and outside of the department
• Highly focused on delivering results and objectives with a strong personal commitment to supporting the business in achieving its goals in a changing environment.
