Job Purpose:
Accountable for GL and financial reporting. Prepare journal entries and reconciliations for monthly general ledger close. Assist in the preparation of the financial statements. Responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the books of accounts and that they are maintained as per the IFRS standards for the business unit. Provide assistance to the Finance Manager/ Chief Accountant during annual audit processes. Participate in the quarterly forecasting, annual budget and the monthly management reporting.

 Accountabilities:

Accounting:

• Responsible for performing and controlling the general accounting functions. This includes but is not limited to the GL, AP, AR.
• Responsible for ensuring the monthly closing on the 10th of the following month.

Reporting and analysis:

• Assist in the preparation of the monthly management report and accompanying schedules, worksheets and narratives, including budget vs. actual variance reports. Assist in providing follow-up and documentation of significant variances.
• Assist in the completion of the quarterly and annual regulatory filings, preparation of assigned quarterly and annual statutory statements.
• Assist the Chief Accountant/ Finance Manager with the annual audit processes.
• Assist in testing and receiving final approval of the system reports required by the management, financial reporting and GL reconciliations.
• Responsible for bank reconciliation, petty cash funds and intercompany reconciliations.
• Passing all provisions, prepaid and accruals entries.

 Job Requirements:

Education:                  

Bachelor in Accounting degree or related finance field with an MBA in Finance and/ or CPA preferred.

Experience:                

At least 2 -3 years of experience in a similar role.

Computer Skills

Oracle 12, Excel, Hyperion

Languages:                 

Strong communication skills in English language is required. Arabic is a plus.
