Job Purpose:
Direct and oversee the daily activities of distribution. Responsible for planning, coordinating and executing, in a timely manner, the daily activities (receiving, shipping, maintenance etc.) and implement programs that ensure the needs of all functions are met (training, safety, security and housekeeping)..

Responsibilities:

  • Utilize ERP systems to process pick release for ordered quantities, ship confirm the delivered quantity, and record products received from suppliers.
  • Coordinate receiving of purchased finished goods from suppliers to ensure stock availability and verify quantity receive on monthly basis prior to sending to Finance.
  • Prepare the weekly confirmed order for export deliveries and track the performance against the plan on daily basis.
  • Plan and arrange the deliveries according to the weekly schedule/requests received from Sales.
  • Supervise and direct drivers and labours for Distribution activities; monitor their leave plans, control overtime, and absence report.
  • Respond to direct calls received from customers.
  • Update distribution tracking records (daily for consolidated report, weekly for distribution reports such as manpower/vehicles utilization, etc., and monthly reports such as ISO monthly report).
  • Maintain a filing system for the safety checklist prior and after delivery.
  • Inspect the cleanliness of all vehicles and ensure loaded/unloaded products are as per Sales order.
  • Arrange gate passes for all vehicles/driver for different customer sites and arrange export documents (export invoice, EPA approval, and clearing agent).
  • Ensure timely renewal or truck registrations.
  • Report any vehicle malfunction experienced by the drivers to maintenance.
  • Lead by example to observe HSE rules and regulations.
  • Identify hazards and employees’ safety concerns, and work with HSE Specialist to resolve them.
  • Accountable for own health and safety and do not put others at risk in the course of work performance.
  • Comply with company policies and procedures at all times.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Job Requirements:

"Prior experience of "Fleet Management" in FMCG or related industry is mandatory."

Education:                  

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent.

Experience:                

5+ years minimum in a similar job

Computer Skills

PC literacy, good knowledge in using spreadsheets, word processing and relevant computer applications.

Languages:                 

Language proficiency in English, Arabic is a plus.

Others:

Competent to identify and manage resources in mitigating food safety hazards throughout CO2 distribution process.
