Job Purpose:

Overall responsibility for the employees, plant and equipment and processes used in the production of medical and industrial gases at the site. This includes implementing and maintaining all Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality programs. Minimizing production costs by optimizing process efficiency and managing operating expenses.

Accountabilities:

• Prepare and manage departmental budget.
• Maintain and ensure ASU production reliability as per KPI/PPA.
• Accountable for ASU production and maintenance.
• Responsible for the facility management and ensuring its proper housekeeping.
• Develop departmental objectives and KPI’s.
• Responsible for maintenance of cryogenic part of fleet maintenance.
• Prepare the annual off-take quantity budget of products as per sales demand and supply agreement.
• Responsible for products off-take and invoice review as per supply agreement.
• Prepares production planning of bulk liquids and tube trailers as per sales department demand and plans to outsource the extra products.
• Deals with all pipeline customers in BU.
• Coordinates with sales department for nitrogen purging, tube trailers and pipeline customers.
• Coordinates with support services department for procurement of ASU related items/spares etc.
• Monitor timely renewal of the legal requirements for BU.
• Accountable for all the approvals for ASU staff, activities, transactions.
• Attends weekly management meeting.
• Deliver timely and accurate reports as per management requirement.
• Efficiently utilize ERP system to meet job requirements.
• Set ASU employees’ objectives and conduct performance reviews.
• Manage ASU staff training needs.
• Responsible for HSE and IMS in ASU.
• Lead by example to observe HSE rules and regulations.
• Identify hazards and employees’ safety concerns, and work with HSE Specialist to resolve them.
• Accountable for own health and safety and do not put others at risk in the course of work performance.
• Comply with company policies and procedures at all times.
• Perform other duties as assigned by General Manager.

Job Requirements

Education:                  

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent.

Experience:                

5+ years minimum in a similar job

Computer Skills

PC literacy, good knowledge in using spreadsheets, word processing and relevant computer applications.

Languages:                 

Language proficiency in English, Arabic is a plus.

Others:

Competent to identify and manage resources in mitigating food safety hazards throughout CO2 production process.
